The proposal was discussed in 50thGoverning Body meeting of the UTTIPEC was held on 17.03.2015 under the Chairmanship of theHon’ble L.G.of Delhi in which the Governing Body approved in principlethe proposal“One way Traffic Circulation Scheme for Decongestion of ITO Junction – by DMRC”

Decision
The one way traffic circulation scheme for decongestion of ITO Junction was approved in principle with the following actions to be taken up by the concerned implementing agencies:

1. To discourage pedestrians for cross over, PWD to install grills on the central verge.
2. PWD to take up all the works related to Road retro fitting signages and lane marking etc.
3. Parking survey for Darya Ganj to be conducted by DMRC and parking sites to be identified.
4. PWD/DMRC to examine the feasibility for extending the proposal of trams upto Darya Ganj.
5. NDMC to implement the proposal in the area under their jurisdiction.
6. The proposal is to be uploaded on UTTIPEC website for obtaining feedback from general public.
7. Traffic Police will conduct the trial run.
