UTTIPEC Processing

The project was discussed in 65th Governing Body  meeting of UTTIPEC  under the Chairmanship of the Hon'ble L.G, of Delhi. Held on 26.04.2022. The observations and Decision are as follows:

Observations:

a. As per the Forest Dept. GNCTD, the project area overlaps with various forest related entities like Southern Ridge, Morphological Ridge, Eco-sensitive Zone, Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary etc. and thus will require clearances from statutory bodies. .

b. implementation of this project involves acquisition of private lands, diversion of forest land etc. which is cost intensive. It was suggested that the alternative mechanism of cost sharing, like on an institutions/organizations benefited from the project, may be explored.

Decisions:

a. The project was in-principle approved in the Governing Body with the following conditions: Dept. a. Clearances from all the statutory bodies including Forest GNCTD/RMB/CEC shall be obtained by the project proponent agency. b. PWD to take up the improvement of junctions and construction of road projects as proposed by Delhi Traffic Police and presented by the Consultant.

b. The issues related to the implementation of the project are taken up separately by DDA after getting all the approval/ clearances and finalization of detailed drawings.
